What is TikTok engagement rate?

TikTok engagement rate shows how much an account's videos move the people who watch them. It takes likes, comments, shares and saves as a single engagement total and rates it against the video's views. A video with high views but few likes and comments is content the algorithm carried but that didn't connect with viewers; a high engagement rate shows the content genuinely resonated.

How is it calculated?

The tool takes the last 10 organic videos (sponsored excluded) and applies:

Why views, not followers? TikTok content mostly reaches non-followers, so dividing engagement by followers is misleading. Dividing by the number of people who actually watched (views) shows the content's power to move viewers far more honestly.
